Berkeley Burial Committee

The Berkeley Burial Committee administers and oversees the Berkeley Cemetery on Station Road, Berkeley.

The committee is comprised of 2 representatives from the following local councils:

  • Hamfallow Parish Council

  • Ham & Stone Parish Council

  • Hinton Parish Council

  • Berkeley Town Council

The representatives that sit on the committee from Hamfallow Parish Council are Ben Keene and John McStea.

The Chairman is Mr Philip Case

Meetings

The committee meet around 4 times per year. The meetings comprise of administration of the cemetery, upkeep of the grounds, reporting on internments etc. Also included are discussions on the finances, how best to spend money that is within the interest of those who visit or require information about the cemetery.

Below you can find the latest agenda. Minutes will only be published once they have been ratified at the following meeting. The public are welcome to attend a significant portion of the meetings, and are encouraged to do so if you have an interest or a point to raise; please contact the Clerk to arrange attendance.

Opening Times

The Howmead Gate entrance will be open every Monday from 0900 - 1500* with the exception of Christmas Day (if it falls on a Monday). This is to assist those with mobility issues to gain access to the cemetery.

*If you require access to the cemetery via the Howmead gates outside of these times, please contact the Clerk who may be able to give you the access code.
